Our Story

Hey everyone, it’s Jordan! I have been trusted with the important task of telling y'all the story about Halle and me. To start off, our story began in 2013 when I smoothly commented on one of Halle’s Instagram photos “Hey you got kik?” After this, we began talking to each other every day. However, it wasn’t until the Spring of 2013, when we finally met at the San Antonio Catholic Schools Cotillion dance. This was the first-time nervous 8th-grade me got to formally meet Halle. We continued to talk over the next year until we made it “official” on June 15th, 2014. Lucky for me, I will never forget this date, as it was the same day the Spurs won their 5th Championship. Go Spurs Go. For high school, I attended Central Catholic and Halle was at the rival, inferior school, Antonian. Even though we were at rival schools, we were inseparable. We were together through it all; braces, getting our driver's license, freshman homecoming, and senior prom. Then senior year came, and college decisions needed to be made; Halle had gone on several school tours and returned to tell me how she fell in love with this school called SFA in the middle of nowhere East Texas. If it sounded like a good place for her, I knew it would be a good place for me.

Sure enough, August 2017 came, and we packed up our bags and moved to Nacogdoches, Texas, to start college. As expected, we spent the next 4 years gaining lifelong friends and memories with each other by our side. Those 4 years flew by in the blink of an eye, and before we knew it, we were walking across the stage in May 2021. However, Halle decided that wasn’t enough school for her and wanted to challenge herself by going to Law School. So, in July 2021, we both moved to Houston, where she would start Law School at the University of Houston, and I would start my career as an engineer.

At that point, Halle and I had been together for quite some time, and I knew I could never imagine spending a day without her. So, shortly after the move to Houston, I decided it was time to start planning how I would ask her to marry me. We planned a trip with her family to Charleston, which is Halle's favorite place. I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to propose. The day finally came, and hours before the proposal, it began raining. But the clouds cleared just minutes before the proposal, and the sunshine returned. Then, under the beautiful Spanish moss of Hampton Park, I got on one knee and asked Halle to be my wife. I thank Mr. Bryan and Peyton for helping me plan this moment and keeping it a secret from Halle and Mrs. Bryan. That was NOT an easy task… So, after a short 10 years, 8 months, and 7 days, we will finally be tying the knot. We can’t wait to see y’all there!
